Why You'll Love It

  • Natural wool with authentic texture. Made from 100% wool, this rug has a rich, natural fibre structure that feels warm and substantial underfoot. Wool is naturally durable and breathable, helping the rug stay comfortable throughout the seasons.
  • Low pile at 10mm. It lays flat, it does not catch on doors, and it is quick to vacuum, so it works in busy rooms and homes with pets. You can still do your hoover lines. If you want something deep and plush to sink your feet into, this is not that rug - our shaggy range is.
  • Dense, high-quality construction. With a generous 2800 gr/m² pile weight, this rug has a thick, well-crafted feel that signals lasting quality. The dense weave helps the rug maintain its structure and stand up to everyday use.
  • Comfortable 10 mm pile height. The medium-height pile offers a balanced feel underfoot while staying practical for daily living, with gentle cushioning and easy upkeep.
  • Supportive cotton backing. The 100% cotton backing helps the rug keep its shape and lie flat on the floor. It also protects hard flooring while adding stability and structure to the rug's overall construction.
  • Natural cream colour with timeless simplicity. The soft cream tone and pearl-like woven texture create a warm, relaxed look that blends easily with many interiors. It works beautifully with wood furniture, neutral palettes, and natural materials.
  • Heat-insulating natural fibres. Wool naturally helps retain warmth, creating a comfortable surface underfoot and contributing to a cosy atmosphere throughout the home.
  • Ideal for relaxed living spaces. The calm design and durable construction make this rug a great choice for living rooms, bedrooms, and quiet reading corners where comfort and timeless style matter most.
  • Handwoven craftsmanship. Each rug is handwoven, giving it subtle variations in texture and character that make every piece feel unique and authentic.

Styling Tip: The natural cream tone works beautifully with warm woods, linen fabrics, and soft neutral colours. Add textured cushions, a wool throw, and a few ceramic or stone accessories to create a calm space that feels warm, layered, and effortlessly inviting.

Please note: Unlike machine-made products, handcrafted rugs may exhibit slight variations in shape, reflecting their true artisanal quality and authenticity.

Wool

We suggest you unfold your rug as soon as possible to allow it to begin settling. You may notice lines or creases in your rug when you first lay it out. These are completely normal and not permanent. Depending on the tension of the fold, it can take a few days or a week to completely flatten.

Everyday

Vacuum as normal. New wool rugs naturally shed loose fibres for the first few weeks - this isn't a fault, and it settles down with regular vacuuming.

If something spills

Blot it straight away with a clean, dry cloth. Start at the outside edge of the mark and work inwards, so you gather the spill together instead of pushing it wider.

Do not rub, and avoid bleach or ammonia-based cleaners - these break down wool fibres permanently. If you need something beyond water, use a wool-safe, pH-neutral detergent, tested on a small hidden area first.

Being straight with you: wool has natural stain resistance thanks to its own lanolin coating, but it's resistant, not proof. Blot a spill straight away and it lifts easily. Leave it to sit and it can still mark.

Wool

Wool is a natural fibre, so it's more moisture-sensitive than synthetics - never soak it, and let it dry fully and flat if it does get wet, rather than leaving it damp underneath. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, as this can fade the colour over time, and rotate it occasionally for even wear. We'd recommend a professional wool-safe clean roughly once a year. Not suitable for machine washing.

If anything does go wrong, our team sorts it out. A person, not a form.

Frequently asked questions

How long does delivery take?

This rug usually arrives within 5-9 days. It is sent directly from our partner's warehouse rather than ours, which is why it takes a little longer than most of our rugs. We email your tracking number as soon as it is on its way. Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses. Couriers do not deliver on bank holidays, and a small number of rural postcodes carry a courier surcharge that is shown at checkout before you pay. Full details are in our shipping and return policy.

Can I return a rug if it is not right?

Yes. You have 30 calendar days from the day your rug is delivered to start a return. For rugs up to 90 cm wide, book a free Royal Mail return label and drop the parcel at any post office. For larger sizes, message us with your order number and we arrange a collection from your address. Please repack the rug in its original packaging, because rugs that reach us damaged cannot be refunded.

Which rug size should I choose?

Measure your furniture first, then the floor. In a living room, 160x230 cm sits well under a 3 seater sofa with the front legs on the rug, and 200x290 cm carries a full seating group in a larger room. Bedrooms usually want 120x170 cm beside the bed or 200x290 cm under a double, while hallways and galley kitchens suit an 80x300 cm runner. For dining rooms, allow about 60 cm of rug past the table on every side so chairs stay on the pile when they are pulled out, and our guide on how to choose the ideal rug for your room works through this room by room.

How do I clean and look after my rug?

Vacuum regularly and blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside of the mark inwards. Avoid soaking the rug, because a backing that stays wet for a long time can change shape. Many of our rugs are stain resistant rather than stain proof, so the sooner you deal with a spill the better the result. Full instructions, including wool and shaggy pile, are in our rug care guide.

What are your rugs made from?

Most of our rugs are woven from heat set polypropylene, which handles daily traffic and holds its colour, and the range also includes wool, viscose and jute pieces. Every product page lists pile material, backing, pile height, pile weight, construction and origin in the specification panel, so you can check the detail before you buy. Rugs tested to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 show that certification in the same panel. Where a rug suits underfloor heating, the product page says so.

Will the rug slide on hard floors?

On wood, tile and laminate a rug can shift, so we recommend a non-slip underlay, which also adds a little cushioning and protects the pile. A dense low pile with a jute backing sits flatter from the start than a deep shaggy pile. Creases from folding are normal and usually settle within a few days to a week once the rug is unrolled. You can add a rug gripper to your order from our rug accessories.
