Loft runner rugs

The Loft runner measures 080×300cm and is cut specifically to that shape for hallways and other long, narrow spaces, rather than being trimmed down from one of the collection's larger rugs. That matters for pattern and texture: a purpose-cut runner keeps the high-low sculpted design running consistently along its full length, where a cropped rug can cut a pattern off awkwardly partway through. The runner sits within the same Loft range as the 080×150cm, 120×170cm, 160×230cm, 200×290cm and 240×340cm sizes, built from the same soft, durable polyester.

Designs and colours available as a runner

All five Loft designs, Abstract, Checkerboard, Chevron, Geometric and Striped, are available in the 080×300cm runner size, in any of the eight Loft colours from Beige and Ivory through to Dark Grey and Terra. A patterned design like Chevron or Striped tends to read particularly well in a runner, since the linear shape of a hallway echoes the rug's own straight lines.

Why a hallway runner needs a specific finish

A hallway sees more footfall than most rooms in a home, so the runner's non-shedding, fade-resistant construction and soft, durable finish are built to hold up under that repeated use. It is also compatible with underfloor heating, which matters in hallways more often fitted with it than living rooms.

Caring for your runner

Vacuum a hallway runner more often than a living room rug, given the extra footfall, to keep the sculpted texture from flattening in the areas people walk most. Spot-clean spills straightaway and avoid heavy scrubbing, which flattens the high-low pile rather than lifting a mark.
