Striped rugs in the Loft collection

Striped is the Loft design built on straight, repeating lines sculpted into the high-low pile, giving a more directional, linear look than the collection's Abstract or Geometric designs. It sits alongside Checkerboard, Chevron, Abstract and Geometric as one of five patterns in the range, all made from the same soft, durable polyester base. Because the stripes are raised and recessed rather than printed, they hold their shape and shadow line even as the rug is walked on, which is part of what the high-low construction is built to do.

How the stripe pattern is built

The stripes are formed by varying pile height across the rug rather than by dye, so the pattern has physical texture you can feel as well as see. This construction is also why the design is non-shedding and holds its fade-resistant colour under normal daily use.

Colours and sizes for a striped rug

Striped comes in all eight Loft colourways, Beige, Blue, Brown, Dark Grey, Green, Grey, Ivory and Terra, and in sizes from 080×150cm to 240×340cm, plus the 080×300cm runner. A striped runner works particularly well in a hallway, where the lines can run along the length of the space, while 160×230cm is the standard living room size for a 3-seater sofa setup.

Looking after a striped high-low rug

Vacuum regularly in the direction of the stripes to keep each line defined, and spot-clean any spill promptly despite the fade-resistant finish. Avoid excessive scrubbing on a mark, since that flattens the sculpted texture and blurs the crisp edge between one stripe and the next over time.
