- We provide a Free Next Day Delivery service for all rugs within the UK Mainland. Orders placed before 12 pm will be dispatched on the same day. Please be aware that our couriers do not make deliveries on bank holidays.
- Some areas are considered as rural areas by the courier companies. An extra charge is applied for these areas. The shipping fee will be displayed on the checkout page depending on your postcode.
- We hope your rug arrives smoothly, but if anything seems off, please reach out to us within 14 days so we can make it right. This helps us work with our delivery partners to resolve things quickly for you.
Return:-
While we’re sure you’ll love what you’ve ordered, we understand that sometimes you might have second thoughts. We accept all return requests within 30 calendar days from the date the order is delivered.
- For small size rugs ( up to 90 cm width ), you can directly go to the Royal Mail website to book your free return label. You can use this link.
- Simply type ” The-Rugs” as the retailer name and fill in the required information such as order number and full name.
- Once you generate your return label, you can drop your order at any convenient post office.
- For bigger sizes, please contact us with your order number, so we can arrange a collection from your address.
- Please make sure that the item is well-packed in order to prevent any damage. If we receive the returned item damaged, no refund can be issued.
- For the orders that have been delivered out of the UK (Europe, USA, etc.), the return postage is the responsibility of the buyer.
We suggest you unfold your rug as soon as possible to allow it to begin settling. You may notice lines or creases in your rug when you first lay it out. These are completely normal and not permanent. Depending on the tension of the fold, it can take a few days or week to completely flatten.

- Fold the rug
- Pop it into the machine
- Set it to 30 degrees ( No tumble dry, Spin or Bleach)
- And press start!

If your washing machine states 8/5 kg, this usually means:

8 kg capacity for cottons

5 kg capacity for synthetics or delicates (like wool, rugs, etc.)
Since your machine shows 4 kg in red writing, it might be referring to a safe load limit for certain cycles 🙏
In short: A 160x230 cm rug is too large for your washing machine based on the available capacity 😊

Washable Rug Carina Grey | 6901G. I have fallen in love with this rug for my shower room. It’s actually a converted Victorian narrow tenement bathroom with extra room from an old kitchen scullery where the quad enclosure is now so an L shaped room. It has 2 windows and I regularly use a dehumidifier as well as airing the room from the windows being open. Would this rug be suitable in the room ? IRS calming grey & white colourway would blend well and the contemporary design would look lovely with the new modern wall hung vanity sink & cabinet. 😘 I was thinking as it’s so inexpensive of buying 2 so I can swap them out when washed. Unfortunately, this collection is not fire retardant. Polypropylene products are fire retardant but they still should not be placed too close to the fire place. I can suggest you to check our Marrakech, Montana or Nature collections 😊
